Create a pipeline

  1. Go to Opportunities → Pipelines.
  2. Create a new pipeline and name it.
  3. Add stages in order; rename and reorder as needed; control which stages show in reporting.
  4. Save.

Editing stages safely

From the pipeline edit screen you can rename stages, reorder them, add new stages, or delete one. When you delete a stage, you can move all existing opportunities to another stage rather than losing them:

  1. Open the pipeline and click the delete icon next to the stage.
  2. Select a destination stage for the existing opportunities.
  3. Confirm — all opportunities transfer to the selected stage.

Working with opportunities

  • Create an opportunity from a contact, a form, or automatically via a workflow.
  • Move opportunities between stages by dragging the card.
  • Filter and search to focus on a stage, owner, or value.
  • Bulk actions let you update or move multiple opportunities at once.

Automating with stages

Use stage changes as workflow triggers — for example, when an opportunity reaches "Payment Collected," send a confirmation and add the contact to a class-reminder sequence. Existing pipeline automations continue to work as you refine stages.

Do I lose opportunities when I delete a stage? No — you choose another stage to move them to.
