Understanding Pipelines & Opportunities

Created by ResQWare Solutions, Modified on Thu, 28 May at 9:44 AM by ResQWare Solutions

An opportunity is a potential deal or booking tied to a contact. A pipeline is the set of stages an opportunity moves through from start to finish. Together they give you a visual board of where every lead stands.

Why pipelines matter

  • Visibility: see where every opportunity stands at a glance.
  • Consistency: standardize how leads move through your process.
  • Efficiency: automate follow-ups and tasks based on stage changes.
  • Performance: track conversion rates and spot bottlenecks.

Access pipelines

Go to Opportunities → Pipelines. The list view shows each pipeline, its number of stages, and the last update.

Example pipeline for a CPR business

  • New Inquiry – form, call, or chat came in.
  • Class Selected – the right course/date is identified.
  • Appointment Scheduled – booked on the calendar.
  • Payment Collected – deposit or full payment received.
  • Completed – class delivered (Won), or Lost.
Tip: keep stages action-oriented and define a clear rule for moving forward (for example, move to "Appointment Scheduled" only once a calendar booking is confirmed).
