The chat widget lets visitors message you from your website; conversations land in your Conversations inbox so you can reply from one place.
Set up and install
- Go to Sites → Chat Widget and create a widget.
- Customize its appearance, greeting/intro message, and which lead fields to capture (name, email, phone) before chat starts.
- Set business/office hours so visitors know when to expect a reply.
- Copy the install code and paste it into your site's header, or enable it directly on the ResQEngage site builder without manual code.
- Publish and send a test message to confirm it arrives in Conversations.
Live chat vs. SMS hand-off
The widget can capture the visitor's number and continue the conversation by SMS, so a chat that starts on your site can carry on by text even after the visitor leaves the page.
Office hours behavior
Outside business hours the widget can collect the message and contact details so you can follow up, rather than implying someone is available live.
